The SIARC Volunteer Examiner Team is affiliated with Laurel VEC and conducts amateur-radio examination sessions throughout the year in Canandaigua, New York.
SIARC conducts Technician, General and Amateur Extra examination sessions. The examination site is handicapped accessible.

SIARC does not charge an examination fee.
The FCC currently charges a separate fee for new amateur-radio licenses. That fee is not collected at the examination session.
First-time applicants need an FCC Registration Number (FRN) before taking the exam.
Two forms of identification, with at least one photo ID.
Bring your FCC Registration Number.
If already licensed, bring the original signed Amateur Radio license and a photocopy.
Bring any unexpired Certificates of Successful Completion of Examination being used for an upgrade.
Bring a blue or black ink pen and a pencil.
A non-programmable calculator may be used.
Applicants taking their first amateur-radio exam must have an FCC Registration Number before the session.
The FCC will not process an application without an FRN.
If you earn your first amateur-radio license at a SIARC examination session, SIARC waives the club membership fee for your first year.
